Our Mission

Community Catholic Center, Inc. is a faith-based, non-profit organization that assists parents in providing a Catholic education for children living in Louisville's Portland and West End neighborhoods. Community Catholic Center also seeks to foster community, to create healthy families, to enrich family development through support services. Community Catholic Center's goal is to educate, to empower, and to inspire Louisville's youngest generation.

Living Our Mission

Community Catholic Center is dedicated to making a quality Catholic education available, accessible, and transformative for children living in a community where no Catholic schools are physically present.  CCC must not only meet the tuition and transportation needs of the students but also must address other facets of the students' lives. In a holistic model, CCC strives to address barriers by not only securing access to Catholic education but also by improving the students' well-being. Important in this effort, CCC will incorporate prayer and faith development activities in all aspects of our work.

• Student Education
  The core focus of our work is providing access to Catholic education for children. Assisting families with tuition & transportation to area Catholic schools ensures we address one of the greatest needs within the community.
  
  
• Student & Family Support
  With the goal to give each student the opportunity to achieve their full potential, an on-staff counselor facilitates family and student involvement in the community and schools. CCC also recognizes that issues and circumstances external to the classroom affect learning; therefore, support services address issues as they arise for students and families, and proactive efforts promote the development of healthy families and children. In addition, families receive professional representation and collaboration with schools and educational services.
  
  
• Student Enrichment
  Enrichment activities are an intentional focus on nurturing a child's self-confidence through activities that expand one’s experience and comfort zone. Such activities include a mix of cultural, educational, arts, and recreational experiences. The goal is that through participation in new experiences, the child expands his/her view of the world and is then given the chance to understand how he/she may engage in the world in a positive and healthy manner. Many students may be burdened by attitudes and experiences that limit one’s vision and ability to imagine academic and personal growth and development. Enrichment activities are meant to stretch students’ imaginations through seeing new possibilities.

• Assistance
  Occasionally, families involved with CCC may seek assistance with food, clothing, utility and/or rent payments. CCC collaborates with area organizations as well as provides the assistance when it is needed.
