Sarah Weatherwax: Executive Director

Sarah Weatherwax has served as Executive Director of Community Catholic Center since June 2020. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education, a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Administration, and earned her Certificate of Fundraising Management from Indiana University’s Lilly School of Philanthropy in 2019.

Sarah began her professional career as a high school English teacher before spending four years in higher education. She later transitioned into nonprofit leadership, serving in a variety of ministry and community-focused organizations. Her experience includes serving as Executive Director of a Habitat for Humanity affiliate in southern Indiana and working in resource development at New Directions Housing Corporation in Louisville.

A passionate advocate for education and community support, Sarah is committed to helping students and families navigate their academic journeys while addressing barriers that can limit opportunity and success. Her dedication to service is rooted in both professional and personal experience. While living in Jasper, Indiana, her two children attended Holy Trinity Catholic School for seven years, during which time she also served four years on the school council before relocating to Louisville.

Sarah is a strong proponent of empowerment, healthy boundaries, and self-advocacy, and she brings those values to her leadership and community engagement efforts every day.
